Jain F G L Metal Industries is located at D12 in the Sipcot Industrial Complex. It’s in Anthoni Pillai Nagar, which is part of Gummudipoondi. The industrial complex is always noisy and full of trucks, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We’ve been at this D12 unit for several years. Metal work isn't exactly quiet or clean, so we fit right in here. Most of our days are spent dealing with various types of metal and machinery. It’s a lot of physical work and you have to be careful with the equipment. Gummudipoondi is a big hub for industries, so we have a lot of neighbors doing similar stuff. We don't have a fancy showroom or a reception area with coffee. It's mostly just the workshop floor and a small space for the accounts. We prefer it that way because it's practical. The workers here have been with us for a long time and they know the machines inside out. We don't spend time on big meetings; we just talk on the floor while we work. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the summer, but we keep the fans going and get through it. It's a tough job but it's what we know how to do. We just keep producing what’s needed and try to maintain a steady pace every day. We aren't looking to expand into some giant corporation. We like being right here in Gummudipoondi, doing our thing at D12. It’s a familiar routine that suits us just fine.
