Pondicherry University Step-Up Hub

We are based out of the Step-Up Hub at Pondicherry University, right in the Kalapet area. It’s part of the main campus, so we are surrounded by students and faculty all day long. This place is basically a spot for people who have ideas they want to try out. We provide a bit of space and some basic resources to help them get moving. It’s not a very fancy office; it has that typical university feel to it with mismatched chairs and a lot of notice boards. We spend a lot of time listening to people talk about their projects. Some of them are really good, and others need a lot more work. We don't pretend to have all the answers. We just offer a place to sit and work. Being out in Kalapet, it’s a bit of a drive from the center of Pondicherry, but the campus is nice and green. We have our own rhythm here, tied to the university semesters. When the exams are on, the hub gets pretty quiet, but otherwise, it’s a lot of chatter and people typing away. We don't have a corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a hub where things happen slowly but surely. We keep the doors open and see who walks in with something new to share. It's a simple setup meant for people who just need a starting point for their work. We just take things one day at a time here.
