Shree Saraswathi English High School

Shree Saraswathi English High School is tucked away on Gandhi Street in the Thattanchavadi area of Pondicherry. It is a local spot that has been part of the neighborhood for a long time. The street is typical for Puducherry, a bit narrow and always having someone passing by on a bicycle or a scooter. Our school building is right there at 605009 and it stays pretty busy from morning until evening. We have students coming from the nearby houses and some from a bit further away. The English medium classes keep the teachers busy all day long. We have the usual blackboards and wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. It isn't a silent place, you can always hear a class reciting something or the kids playing during their break time. We don't have a huge campus, but we make the most of the space we have. The staff room is small and we all know each other well. During the monsoon, the street can get a bit muddy, but the kids still make it to school. We just do our work without making a big fuss about it. It is a simple school for the local community where people know our names and we know theirs. That is just how life is here in this part of town. We keep the doors open for everyone who wants to learn.
