Rathawa Umesh Jangu

My name is Rathawa Umesh Jangu and I run my business from my home at 1/187, Ward 1 in Kaveripuram Thalanatham. It is a quiet area and most people who live around here know each other. I don't have a big store with glass windows or a neon sign. It is just a regular house where I do my work. I handle different kinds of local trade and services for the village people. Often, someone will just walk up to my door and ask for help with something they need. I keep a small desk in the front room with my ledgers and a pen. I don't use much technology because the old ways of keeping records still work fine for me. The street outside is narrow, so big trucks have a hard time getting through. I’ve lived in Kaveripuram Thalanatham for most of my life, so I know the rhythms of this place. If the harvest is good, everyone is happy and I am busy. If it's a dry season, things get much slower. I don't have any employees, it’s just me doing what needs to be done. Sometimes I have to go out to other parts of the district, so I just lock the gate and come back later. It is a simple life and a simple way of doing business. I just try to be a helpful neighbor and earn a living.
