Out here on Kallipalayam Road, things stay fairly steady at our place in Makkinampatti. Being tucked away in Minnagar means we don’t get as much foot traffic as the shops in the main town, but that gives us more time to focus on the technical work. The office at No. 3/42 is usually filled with the sound of fans and keyboards. We handle a lot of different things related to technology, mostly sitting at our desks and trying to figure out why something isn't working right. It isn't always exciting, but it is the kind of work we enjoy doing. We have a small team, and we’ve all gotten used to the way the sun hits the front windows in the afternoon. Sometimes we take a break and walk down the road to get some tea. People from around the post office area stop by when they have questions or need something fixed up. We don't have a big reception area or any shiny displays. It is mostly just tools, computers, and a lot of cables everywhere. We like the quiet of the Post area because it lets us concentrate. Most days start early before the heat gets too bad. We just open up the shutters, turn on the lights, and get started on whatever is on the list for that morning. It is a practical way to spend the day and we don't really have any desire to move anywhere else.
