We are located at number 142 on Ulle Street. It is a narrow street where things can get a bit tight when a car or a cart tries to pass through. Being near to the Mariyamman Kovil temple is nice because we hear the bells in the early morning and again in the evening. It gives a good rhythm to our workday. The building itself is quite old and has a lot of character in the walls. We work mostly in the front room where the light comes in from the street windows. There are always people walking by on their way to the temple or the local shops nearby. We know most of the neighbors by their names now. It is a quiet life here for the most part, except during the big festival times when the whole street gets packed with people and bright colors. We try to keep our area tidy, but with the street traffic, there is always a bit of sweeping that needs to be done. It is just how it is. We don't have a fancy office setup with air conditioning and glass walls. We have simple fans and we keep the windows open. It feels more real that way. We spend our hours doing what needs to be done and chatting with whoever happens to stop in for a minute. It is a community vibe. If you are looking for Ulle Street, just look for the temple and you are basically there. We’ve been in this spot for years.
