Bits Pilani

We are out here in Pilani, Rajasthan, specifically at 108 Pooja Marg. If you know this part of the country, you know it’s quite a distance from the big cities, sitting right in the middle of the desert landscape. The campus and the offices here have been part of the landscape for decades. It’s a place that feels very grounded. We don't have the flashy lights of Delhi or Jaipur, but we have a lot of history in these buildings. Our daily routine involves a lot of walking across the grounds and making sure the administrative side of the institute is holding up. It gets incredibly hot here during the summer, and the sand blows in sometimes, but we are used to it. The office is a bit old-fashioned in some ways, with stacks of files and heavy wooden desks. We spend our time managing the various needs of the place, from student records to general maintenance. It’s a quiet life in Pilani compared to the rush of a metro. We have a small community here and we all look out for each other. There’s no corporate ladder to climb in the way people think; it’s just about making sure the place runs well for everyone who lives and works here. We eat at the local messes and take our tea in the shade when we can. It’s a steady, honest way to spend the day. Nothing fancy, just hard work and a quiet environment.
