Being out here at BITS, life has its own unique pace. It’s a large campus and most people who are here stay here, so it feels like a small town on its own. We handle the daily operations that keep a place like this functioning. There are always students walking around with books or heading to the labs, even late at night. The buildings have that solid, academic look to them, and the grounds are quite sprawling. We spend a lot of time dealing with the logistics of having so many people living and working in one spot. It’s not always easy keeping everything in order, from the residential areas to the classrooms. The weather can be a bit harsh depending on the season, but the students don't seem to mind much. We aren't about big advertisements; the work happens in the libraries and the study halls. Our office is usually busy with students asking questions or staff coordinating different tasks. It’s a practical environment where people come to get their work done. We see new faces every year and say goodbye to others, but the routine stays pretty much the same. It’s a self-contained world where the main focus is just getting through the academic calendar and making sure the facilities are usable for everyone who lives here. There is always something to fix or a schedule to update, so we stay pretty busy.
