Birla Institute Of Technology & Science

Our address is just Post Box No. 12, which sounds a bit isolated but it’s just how the mail gets to us. Being at the Birla Institute Of Technology & Science means we are part of a large campus, but on the ground level, it’s just a lot of walking between buildings. We have various departments and labs, and most of our time is spent just keeping everything functional. It’s a big place, and it takes a lot of effort to make sure the lights stay on and the grass stays trimmed. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. We just have a lot of students and faculty living and working together in this space. The administrative side of things involves a lot of sorting through mail that comes to that post box and keeping track of all the schedules. It can be a bit overwhelming sometimes because of the size of the place. We have old trees and paths that have been there for decades. The weather changes, the semesters come and go, and we just keep the wheels turning. It’s a lot of practical work, from fixing broken pipes in the dorms to making sure the library stays quiet. We don't really think about the name on the gate much; we just think about the tasks we have to finish before the day ends. It’s a busy, functional community that runs on a lot of coffee and hard work.
