Great Perambalur Farmers Producer Company Limited

We set up Great Perambalur Farmers Producer Company Limited at 7/281, Arasalur Kaikatti. That's near the Esanai Post. It's a quiet area for the most part. We are right in the heart of the farming community here in Perambalur. The building we use is older, but it serves its purpose for our meetings and storage. We aren't some big city corporation. We are just a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It helps when we need to get supplies or sell what we grow. Most of the guys here have dirt under their fingernails from working the land all morning. We meet up in the afternoons to talk about prices and the local market. It’s not always easy. Sometimes the meetings go on too long because everyone has an opinion. But that’s how it works in a small place. Arasalur Kaikatti is home to us. We see the same faces every day. We don't have a website or anything like that, just a sign and a door that's usually open. If the weather is bad, we might be a bit slow to answer. We do our own bookkeeping and handle the logistics ourselves. It’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s better than doing it all alone. We're just trying to keep the farms going and the families fed. That’s the reality of it. It’s hard work, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and get through the season together.
