Our place, Devtakhet Farms Llp, is way out in Village Sendhi Malli. If you are coming from Dhoomakot in Pauri Garhwal, you know it’s a long journey through the mountains. We are tucked away in Uttarakhand-246277, and it is as quiet as it gets. We don’t have much use for fancy titles or big offices out here. We just have the land and the farms that have been part of our lives forever. Starting an LLP was a big step for us, mostly because of all the documents you have to file with the government people. Sendhi Malli is where we live and where we work. The air is thin and the ground is rocky, but we know how to make things grow after many years of trying. We spend most of our time outdoors, only coming inside to deal with the business side of things when we absolutely have to. It’s a family-style operation where everyone chips in. You won’t find any corporate talk here, just talk about the harvest, the water supply, and how the roads are holding up after the last landslide. We are proud of this place, even if it is hard to find on a map. Devtakhet is our home, and the farms are what keep us going. We just do the work, day in and day out, and try to make sure we have enough to keep the farm running for the next season without running into too much debt.
