Weeny Greens Private Limited is our small venture located in the village of Sikandarpur. We are out in the Bihta area of Patna, which is quite a ways from the main city center. If you’re looking for us, we are at the place of Raj Kapoor. No, not the famous actor, just our local guy here in the village. We focus on greens and agricultural products. Being near Patna gives us a bit of a connection to the bigger markets, but our roots are definitely in the dirt of Sikandarpur. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or in the shed where we sort through the plants. It’s a quiet village life for the most part, except when we are busy trying to get the greens packed up before they wilt in the Bihar heat. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from the cleaning to the paperwork. It’s a practical business. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just grow things and try to get them to people while they are still fresh. Our office is just a room in the village where we keep our books. We like it this way because we stay close to the land. It’s a lot of work and some days are better than others, but that’s just how farming life goes for us here.
