Our place is located in Bihta, right near the Maa Adharshakti Mill. Manoj Kumar runs the daily operations here, and his father Narmdeshwar Singh is a well-known face in the Kanchanpur area. Being in the Patna district gives us a bit of a central spot, but we are still very much a local, small-scale operation. We are mostly focused on the organic soil side of things. It is dusty work most of the time. We spend our days out by the mill or at the office talking about how to improve the land and the crops. The mill is a good landmark if you are ever trying to find where we are located. We do not use a lot of big words or have any fancy office furniture. It is more about getting the hands dirty and seeing what works. People from the village come by to talk about their fields and what they can do differently this year. Sometimes we have a lot of visitors, and other days it is just us sitting with some tea planning for the next month. Bihta is growing quite fast these days, but we still like the old ways of doing business face-to-face with people. You cannot really understand the soil from a computer screen, you have to be out there in Kanchanpur looking at it. We have been at this for a while now. It is a slow process, but it is just what we do. (249 words)
