R. K. Sahu & Sons

You can find R. K. Sahu & Sons at Plot No. 703 in the Bhagwati Complex. We are right there at the Boring Road Chouraha. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of honking and traffic outside our door. This business has been in the family for a while now. My sons and I run the place together. It’s a bit tight inside the shop because we have so much stock piled up. We deal with various items and most of our day is spent talking to people who come in looking for specific things. Being in a complex means we have neighbors all around us. Sometimes we share a tea in the afternoon when things quiet down for a few minutes. We don't have fancy displays. Most things are just stacked in the boxes they came in. It’s easier to find stuff that way once you know the layout. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the shop, so we use a torch sometimes to find things on the high shelves. We don't really do much advertising. People just see our name when they are stuck at the traffic light and decide to pull over. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, especially with the sons arguing about where the ledger went. But we manage to get it done. It's just a family-run spot in a busy part of town.
