We are right in the middle of the bustle in Raja Bazar, Patna. Our office is on the third floor of Mangal Market, specifically at Pillar Number 72. If you know the area, you know it’s right above the SBI bank. It’s a busy spot with people coming and going all day long. Being on the third floor means we get a bit away from the street noise, but not much. We focus on the farm side of things even though we are based in a commercial market. It’s about bridging that gap between the rural fields and the city buyers. The office isn’t huge, but it’s where we handle all the logistics and the phone calls. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on how things are growing out at the farms. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. The market atmosphere is fast-paced, which keeps us on our toes. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just calendars and maps of where our produce comes from. It’s a practical business run by people who know the city and the countryside. We try to keep things organized so the farmers get their stuff out and the shops get what they need on time. It is mostly about managing schedules and making sure the trucks don't get stuck in Patna traffic.
