Nowhere

We at Nowhere are located out near the New Bypass in the Khemni Chak area of Patna. Laxminagar is a busy part of town, and being close to the bypass means there is always something moving outside our windows. The dust from the road is a constant battle, but we’ve mostly given up on having perfectly clean windows. Inside, we just have the basics. A few chairs, some computers, and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do here. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. Most of the staff comes from nearby neighborhoods, so we usually talk about local things during our breaks. The power goes out once in a while, so we have a backup system that kicks in, making a bit of a hum in the background. It’s just the reality of working in this part of the city. We have a small area where we keep the kettle and some snacks because the days can get long. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It is just a handful of us making sure the orders are processed and the paperwork is filed correctly. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a bit messy, but we still show up and get things done. It’s just how things are at our place in Patna. We keep working through whatever comes our way, whether it is the heat or the rain.
