Jaykay Architect

We are based in the Saboo Complex on Exhibition Road in Patna. Jaykay Architect has been a part of this busy area for years. If you know Exhibition Road, you know it’s one of the most crowded spots in the city, but it’s where everything happens. Our office is up in the complex, away from the worst of the street noise, but you can still feel the energy of the city. We do a lot of architectural work, mostly sitting at our desks surrounded by old models and rolls of tracing paper. It’s not a high-tech studio with mood lighting. It’s just a place where we work. We take on all sorts of projects, from small houses to bigger buildings around Patna. Most of our day is spent dealing with municipal rules, talking to builders, or trying to get a design just right. We don’t have a flashy marketing team. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else or see our name on the building directory. The Saboo Complex is an older building, and it has that lived-in feel which we like. We’ve seen the city change a lot from our windows over the years. We aren't here to promise the world; we just provide drawings and plans that work for the people who live here. It’s practical, everyday work for a busy city like Patna, and we’re fine with that.
