Being near Natraj Cinema makes it very easy for people to find us in the New Area. Global Institute Of Information Technology might sound like a big name, but we are just a local setup here in Patna. We have a room full of computers and some whiteboards that are stained with old marker ink that won't come off. The cinema nearby always has people hanging around, so it feels very alive outside our door. Inside, we are usually focused on the computer screens. We teach people about computers, from the very basics to the more complicated things they might need for work. It’s a lot of sitting and pointing at code or spreadsheets. The chairs have wheels but they don't always roll right on the tile floor. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and tiffins. The air conditioning works most of the time, but when it doesn't, we just open the door and let the New Area breeze in. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their friends or they see the sign when they go to watch a movie. We spend our days answering questions and showing people where to click on the screen. It’s an honest living. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to older folks. We just keep the computers running and the doors open for them.
