The Pride Academy

The Pride Academy is on the first floor at 15 Tej Bagh Colony in Patiala. We are situated right above the Punjab and Sindh Bank, directly across from Shiv Ashram. It’s a good, central location that’s easy for most people to find. Our space isn't very fancy. We have a few rooms where we conduct our classes and a small area where students can wait. We’ve been here for a good while now, and the place definitely looks like it’s been used. There are some scuff marks on the walls and the furniture is a bit mismatched, but it’s comfortable enough for learning. We don't have a big team of people. Usually, it's just one or two of us handling the teaching and the day-to-day tasks. It gets pretty busy in the late afternoons when the school day ends and all the students arrive at the same time. The bank downstairs can be quite noisy during the day with people coming and going, but we’ve learned to ignore it. We don't go in for big mission statements or promotional gimmicks. We just offer a place for kids to come and get their lessons done. We stay open until the evening, often leaving just as the street lights are coming on. It’s a very local, unpolished kind of place where the focus is just on the books and the students. We’re just here to help out.
