Sunny International

You can find Sunny International on the first floor of a building right on Bus Stand Road in Patiala. We are directly opposite the main bus stand, so it’s a very noisy and crowded area most of the time. You can hear the buses honking and the conductors calling out all day long. Our office is a simple one-room setup on the first floor. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait and a couple of desks where we do all the work. Being near the bus stand is handy because a lot of people just walk in while they are waiting for their bus. We deal with various international-related queries, mostly travel or documents. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning that works perfectly all the time, but it gets the job done. The walls have some maps and calendars on them. We spend a lot of time explaining things to people who come in. Patiala is a town where word of mouth matters a lot, so we just try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. Usually, there’s a tea stall nearby that brings us tea a few times a day. We don't have a big mission statement or anything; we just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s a busy, practical life here on Bus Stand Road, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while.
