Magneti Marelli

We are located up in Pathankot, which is a nice change of pace compared to the bigger cities. Being here in Punjab, specifically with the 145001 zip code, gives our daily work a specific kind of feel. Magneti Marelli has been part of the local landscape for a bit now. Our days usually start pretty early. We show up, check the equipment, and get started on whatever is on the schedule. It’s a lot of hands-on work, so we often end the day with a bit of dirt under our fingernails or grease on our clothes. The team here is a mix of people who have lived in Pathankot forever and a few who moved here for the job. We get along well enough, though there’s always a bit of bickering about who left the tools out or whose turn it is to clean up the break area. The winters here get quite cold, so we usually have a heater running in the corner that doesn't quite reach everyone. In the summer, it's the opposite, and we're all just trying to stay hydrated. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the parts and the machines in front of us. It’s honest work, and at the end of the day, we’re just glad to have done a solid shift before heading home. No one really bothers us much here and we just keep to ourselves.
