Down on Pathankot Road, in the village and post area of Raowali, you will find Bhawani Shanker Casting Pvt. Ltd. Our foundry is a bit away from the city center, which is good because casting is a hot and messy business. We spend our days working with molten metal and sand moulds, trying to get the shapes right. The air around the plant is always heavy with the smell of the furnace and the sound of machines. It is not the kind of place you come to wear nice clothes; everyone here is dressed for hard work. We have a fair amount of space out here compared to the city shops, which helps with storing the raw materials and the finished castings. Pathankot Road sees a lot of trucks passing by, and that is how most of our stuff gets moved. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate meetings. Usually, we are just out there on the floor, checking the temperature of the melts or cleaning up the edges of a new batch of parts. The weather plays a big role in our day, as the heat of the summer makes the furnace work even tougher. We’ve been operating in Raowali for quite some time now, and we just focus on doing the job as it comes, keeping our heads down and staying busy with the daily grind of the foundry. It is just the way we have always done things out here.
