Down in Patan, Gujarat, you will find Sheth M.N.Science College. We’ve been part of this town for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age, but it has a lot of character. It’s a science college, so we have labs for chemistry and physics, though the equipment isn't brand new. You can smell the old chemicals in the hallways sometimes. Students come here from all over the surrounding areas of Patan to get their degrees. It’s a busy place during the week, with young people carrying books and rushing between the different blocks. The courtyard is where everyone usually gathers during the breaks to sit and talk. We aren't a big, fancy private institution with high-tech everything. We are a traditional college that focuses on getting the work done. The classrooms have high ceilings and old fans that hum while the professors are talking. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don't have a big PR team writing stuff for us. We just provide the space for science students to learn. People in Patan know us well, and many families have sent their children here for generations. It’s just a regular part of the education scene in North Gujarat. We keep the library open, the labs running, and the students moving through their courses year after year without making a lot of noise about it. It is a solid place for any local student interested in science.
