Adarsh Vidhyalay

Adarsh Vidhyalay is found on College Road in Patan, right within the Adarsh Campus. Being in the Patan Ho area, we are in a fairly central part of town. The campus is actually quite large, with several buildings that house different sections of the school. It’s a place that has seen thousands of students pass through its doors over the years. We have the usual setup of long corridors, heavy wooden desks, and big windows that let in the Gujarat sun. The mornings are usually the most hectic time, with buses arriving and parents dropping off their kids near the gates. Once everyone is inside, the place settles into a rhythm of lectures and bells. We have a good amount of space for the students to move around, which is nice. The office stays busy with all the administrative stuff that comes with running a school of this size. You’ll often see teachers standing in the shade of the trees during their breaks, catching a bit of air. The walls have been painted many times, and the floors show the wear and tear of many feet. It’s a lived-in place with a lot of history in the Patan community. We just keep doing our daily work, making sure the schedules are followed and the students have what they need for their classes. It isn't always perfect, but it’s where we spend our days and do our jobs.
