Durga Engineering Works

We've been at Plot No. 229 for quite a while now. It’s right on Dediyasan Street, not far from the Sarvodya Bank. The shop is usually loud because of the machines running all day. Most mornings start with moving heavy metal parts around and checking what needs fixing first. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by noon. People stop by when they have something broken or need a part made specifically for a machine. Sometimes the street gets crowded with trucks, which makes it hard to move stuff in and out of the gate. We don't have fancy chairs or a big waiting room here. There is just a small corner where we keep the records and take a break for tea when we can. The bank nearby is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. We handle a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly just basic mechanical stuff that needs to be finished. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to the noise of the grinders and the smell of oil. Every day is pretty much the same routine of measuring, cutting, and welding whatever comes through the door. It’s just how we get things done here in this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet for a bit, which is a nice change, but then we have to catch up later.
