Our workshop is at Plot A-1/17, specifically Shed 238 in the 2nd Phase of the Mehasana Steel Compound. If you’ve ever walked through the compound, you know it’s a place where people are always busy with metal and machines. The air usually smells like oil and iron, which is just how we like it. We’ve been in this shed for a while now, and it’s filled with the tools we’ve gathered over the years. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of all the engineering work we do, but we know where every single wrench and bolt is kept. The 2nd Phase gets pretty noisy during the day with all the other shops running their equipment, but you get used to the rhythm of the machines. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or checking the measurements on a piece of steel. It’s honest work that leaves your hands a bit greasy by the end of the shift. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist; you just walk into the shed and find one of us. Usually, we’re wearing our work clothes and looking over a blueprint or a part that needs machining. It’s a practical environment where the focus is strictly on the engineering tasks we have lined up for the day. We stay until the job is finished, regardless of the time.
