Jd Steel Corporation

The yard over at Malgodown is where we do all our work for Jd Steel Corporation. It is right near S. Shankarlal, which makes it easy to find if you are used to this part of the industrial area. Working with steel is heavy, loud work and there is usually a layer of dust on everything by noon. We spend a lot of time loading up trucks and checking the gauges on the materials coming in from the mills. It is not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of us are in boots and work shirts every single day. The Malgodown area has its own rhythm with trucks coming and going at all hours. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment of rods or sheets arrives, the whole place turns into a bit of a maze for a few hours. We have been doing this for a long time now. People around here know we just focus on getting the metal moved to wherever it needs to go. It is hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we have a small office with a fan where we handle the billing and the phone calls. Sometimes we just sit outside during the lunch break and watch the street traffic. It is honest work and it is what we know how to do best without any fuss. The neighbors around the warehouse are mostly in the same trade, so we all get along well enough.
