Santoshi Steel Industries

Working with steel isn't easy, but it’s what we do here at Santoshi Steel Industries. We are located at Plot No. 167 in Phase-1 of the Gidc. The shop floor is almost always loud because of the cutting and the heavy lifting. You get used to the smell of metal and the sound of the machines after a few days. We started out small and we’ve stayed pretty grounded. Our building is just a standard industrial unit, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s a different story with sparks flying and guys focused on their tasks. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. Most of our work comes from people who know where we are and what we can do. We spend a lot of time measuring and double-checking things because mistakes in steel are expensive. It’s a tough environment, especially in the summer when the heat from the machines adds to the weather outside. We make sure to take breaks and look after each other. It’s a tight-knit group here at Phase-1. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to turn out good steel work and keep the business running for another year. Every day is pretty much the same routine, but we like the consistency of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening, making sure every piece is handled right.
