Jalaram Bhojnalay

Jalaram Bhojnalay is a small place located at Plot No 86/90 in Patan. We are right beside Navin Ishwar in the New Ganj Bazar area. Since we are near the market, we see a lot of farmers and traders who come into town to sell their goods. Our family has been running this bhojnalay for quite some time now. It’s a basic setup where we serve simple Gujarati food to anyone who stops by. We don't have a menu with fifty different items, just the daily meals that we prepare fresh every morning. The place is usually full during lunchtime, and it can get a bit loud with all the talk from the market outside. We try to keep the plates moving so people can get back to their work. The building itself is nothing special, just a regular shop in the bazar. We don't use any fancy machines or anything; most of the cooking is done the old-fashioned way. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we are used to it by now. People know us for being a steady place where they can get a filling meal without any fuss. We just focus on our daily routine and making sure there’s enough food for the evening crowd before we close up for the night. We don't ask for much, just that folks leave with a full stomach.
