People around here in Samraipur know where we are because of the tall structures. Working at Tata Metaliks Ltd. means you get used to the noise and the heat pretty fast. Out here in Gokalpur, the roads get busy with trucks moving back and forth all day long. In Paschim Midnapur, the weather can be really something else, especially when it rains and everything gets muddy around the site. We spend most of our time keeping the machines running and making sure the metal is moving like it should. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of the guys here have lived in this district for years, so we all know each other well. Sometimes the dust gets thick, and you have to wipe down the benches every hour just to see what you are doing. We have a small canteen area where everyone sits for lunch, mostly just talking about local things or what is happening back home. The gate is usually open early because there is always a line of vehicles waiting to get in. It is a big operation, but at the end of the day, it is just a bunch of us doing what needs to be done. We do not have much time for sitting around. You just put on your boots and get to work until the shift ends. Every day is pretty much the same routine but we get through it together as a team.
