About Sacred Heart Public School – Education in Paschim Medinipur
Sacred Heart Public School is right here in Vill- Kushpata. It’s a quiet part of West Midnapur, mostly. Most days start with the sound of the metal gate creaking open around seven. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who live nearby and show up every morning to get the classrooms ready. The dust gets everywhere because of the open fields around the village, so we spend a lot of time sweeping before the kids get here. It isn't a fancy place with shiny floors. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever get around to it. Usually, there's a dog or two from the neighborhood hanging out by the entrance waiting for scraps. The kids walk in from the nearby houses, some of them still finishing their breakfast. We spend our time getting through the lessons and making sure everyone has their notebooks out. During the lunch break, it gets pretty loud with everyone running around the yard. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows and keep going with whatever we were doing. It’s just a normal school where people know each other by name. We don’t have big meetings or complicated plans, we just try to keep things moving and make sure the kids are learning what they need to. It’s just life in Kushpata and we are fine with that.
