Nirmal Hriday Ashram Catholic Church High School

Our high school is part of the Nirmal Hriday Ashram, located in the Shekpura area. It’s right near the Kotwali Police Station, which is a major landmark in this part of Paschim Midnapur. The school is closely tied to the Catholic Church here. The buildings are old and have a lot of character, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep things relatively cool during the summer. We have a lot of students who come from the local villages and the surrounding Shekpura neighborhood. The atmosphere is very grounded and simple. Our teachers are often people who have dedicated their whole lives to this community. We don’t have much use for fancy technology or corporate slogans. We just follow the curriculum and try to keep the students focused on their studies. The grounds of the ashram are usually quiet until the bell rings for break. Then the whole place fills up with noise and movement. We have a small library and some basic labs, nothing too extravagant. Most of our furniture is made of heavy wood and has been around for decades. It’s a place with a lot of tradition, but we don’t make a big deal out of it. We just open the gates every morning and do our best to help the students. It’s a practical, hardworking school that has been a staple of the Kotwali area for a long time.
