Pragna Grammar School

Our school is located in Sector 34 of Kurukshetra, right near the Hero Honda Chowk. It’s a well-known corner of the city. Because we are near the chowk, there is always the sound of traffic and the city moving around us. Inside the school, though, we focus on what the kids are doing in their classrooms. The rooms have the standard setup with wooden desks and big windows. We get a lot of light during the day, which is nice. The students come from various parts of Kurukshetra, arriving by bus or being dropped off by their parents. There is a lot of greeting and talking in the mornings before the first period starts. We have a staff that is quite dedicated, mostly people who have lived in this area for a long time. They know the families and the local stories. It’s a very straightforward place. We don't have any fancy mission statements plastered everywhere. We just teach the subjects and keep the building clean. The hallways are often filled with the smell of lunch boxes around noon. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit difficult, like when it’s too hot or during the monsoon rains, but we manage. It’s a real place with real people working together every day. We just try to provide a decent space for the children in Sector 34 to learn their lessons and grow up. It’s about the work and not the fancy titles for us.
