Mittal Traders

We are over in Samalkha, right on the G T Road. It is a good location because everyone passes through here eventually, so there is never a quiet moment. We deal with trading various goods and it keeps us on our feet all day long. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space for our inventory and some desk space. We have trucks coming in and out quite often, which keeps things interesting for us. The dust from the G T Road settles on everything, so we are always dusting off the counters and shelves. It’s a simple operation run by a few of us who have been doing this for years now. We know the regular drivers and the local shopkeepers nearby. Sometimes we stand outside just to watch the traffic go by when the work slows down. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure things arrive and leave on time. The weather gets really hot here in the summer, making the shop feel like an oven sometimes. We just drink plenty of water and keep going. Samalkha is a good town for this kind of work. People know us as the place on the main road. We don't use fancy computers for everything, a lot of it is still written down in old ledgers. It feels more real that way. We just do our work and head home when the sun goes down. Most of our day is spent checking crates.
