You can find us right on G T Road, which is always a bit of a chaotic spot with all the trucks and buses zooming past. We are located right opposite the Ravi Das Dharamshala, so that’s the easiest way to find us if you’re coming through this area. Amar Bhawan Chowk is also just a stone's throw away. It’s a busy area and our shop is no different. We spend a lot of our day loading and unloading stuff. The front of the place is usually blocked by some delivery vehicle or another. It’s a trading business, so it’s all about what’s coming in and what’s going out. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and stacks of goods reaching up to the ceiling. There isn’t much room to move around when a fresh shipment arrives. We have a small desk near the entrance where we sit and handle the billing and the phone calls. The phone rings a lot, mostly people asking about prices or when their stuff will arrive. It gets pretty dusty because of the main road, so we’re always wiping down the counters and the stools. We don’t really have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a practical space meant for moving goods from one place to another. Most of our regulars know us by name, and we just have a quick chat while we settle the accounts. It’s a long day from morning to night, but that’s just the life of a trader on G T Road.
