Shree Yamuna Pulses

Working with pulses at Shree Yamuna Pulses means a lot of dust and heavy bags. We are located out on Chakalia Road. If you are looking for us, look for the trucks. There is always a truck backing in or pulling out. We deal with lentils and beans mostly. It is a lot of sorting and cleaning. The air smells like earth and dried grain most of the time. We have been using Post Box No. 5858 for our mail for years. The office is small, just a desk and some old files. We spend most of the time in the back where the processing happens. It’s a simple setup. We take the raw stuff and get it ready. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or a motor. It’s not a glamorous job. My clothes are usually covered in some kind of dust by noon. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been on this road for a while. We know the farmers and the drivers. It’s a lot of handshakes and checking the quality of the crop. When the season is busy, we stay late into the night. When it’s slow, we clean the floors and wait for the next load. That is the life here. It’s steady. It’s honest. We just handle the pulses and try to keep things organized. Usually, the dog from the neighbors comes by for scraps around noon.
