Shanthan Exports Pvt. Ltd. is based out in the village of Kakrali. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s much quieter than being in the city. Our mailing address is through the post office at Toda Barwala. We’ve been operating out of this village for a long time. It started as a small idea and grew into this export business. We don’t have a shiny office building. Mostly, it’s just a functional space where we pack things and check the quality of what’s going out. Being in Kakrali means we are close to where a lot of the goods are actually produced. We spend our days talking to local suppliers and then figuring out how to get everything to the ports. It’s a lot of logistics. Sometimes the roads are bad after the rain, and that slows things down, but that’s just part of living in the countryside. We don't use any fancy marketing language because we don't need to. Our work speaks for itself when the shipments arrive on time. There’s a small team of us here, and we all do a bit of everything. One day you might be checking labels and the next you’re loading a truck. It’s a practical way to run things. We like being part of the village community and staying away from the rush of the big towns. It’s a simple life but we keep very busy.
