We set up our office on Railway Road, right near the old Regal Theatre. It’s a well-known spot in town, so it's easy for people to find us. We focus on agro and organic products, which means we spend a lot of time talking to farmers and checking on how things are grown. Our space is functional, filled with samples and records of different harvests. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have wooden desks and a lot of paper files because that’s how we like to keep track of things. The sound of the trains nearby is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We started this because we wanted to work with natural products and the people who produce them. It’s a lot of work to ensure everything meets the organic standards we look for. Sometimes we are out in the fields, and other times we are here at the desk coordinating deliveries. We don't use big slogans or anything. We just try to get good products from the farm to the people who want them. The seasons dictate our schedule, so harvest time is always a bit chaotic. We handle the paperwork, the storage, and the distribution from this small building. It’s a simple way of doing business, rooted in the local agricultural cycle. We just keep the doors open and do what we can to keep things moving along smoothly.
