We've been here in Pinjore for a long time now. The factory is quite big and you can hear the machines running from a distance. Panchkula is close by, but our life revolves around these sheds and the tools we handle every day. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything. It's mostly just grease, metal, and people who know their way around a lathe. The mornings start early here when the shifts change. Sometimes the weather in this part of Haryana gets really sharp, cold in the winters and dusty in the summers. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There are a lot of stories in these walls because many of us have spent decades here. You see the same faces every morning at the gate. It's a bit loud inside the main units, but that’s just how it is with machine tools. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the day is spent on the floor, checking measurements or moving parts around. It’s a practical place for practical people. Pinjore has changed a lot around us, with new shops and roads, but inside our gates, the focus stays on the metal and the machines. We drink our tea in small breaks and talk about the machines or maybe what's happening back home. It’s steady work and we like it that way.
