Metalab Engineers

Metalab Engineers is situated right in the Kishan Flour Mills Campus on Railway Road. Being on an old mill site gives the place a certain character, though it does get quite dusty from the old brickwork and the road outside. You can hear the trains passing by pretty clearly since the tracks aren't far off. The campus itself is quite large, and we have a decent-sized unit where we do all our engineering work. It’s an old-school environment with high ceilings and some patches on the walls that have seen better days. We don't really care about the aesthetics much as long as the tools are sharp and the machines are running. Railway Road is a busy stretch, so there is always movement outside our gates. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and testing different metal components. Our hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning, and that’s just how it is. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and goes to see who it is. We have some old desks in the corner for the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, especially when the weather is humid, but we’ve been here a long time and we know the rhythm of the place. It’s just a group of us doing practical engineering day in and day out.
