R.& B. Sarvajanik High School

Down in Kalol, tucked away in the Panchmahal district, you will find our high school. It has been a fixture of this neighborhood for quite a long time. The building is made of stone and brick, standing strong against the dusty winds we get around here. We open the doors early in the morning, and usually, there is already a crowd of students waiting outside by the gate. Inside, the hallways are narrow and the walls are covered with old charts that have started to yellow at the edges. We spend our hours teaching the basics and making sure the kids understand their science and languages. It is a noisy place, especially when classes change over and everyone is rushing around. The office is always busy with parents coming in to ask about fees or exams. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our news travels by word of mouth in the local market. On hot afternoons, the ceiling fans hum steadily while we try to stay focused on the textbooks. We have a small playground where the dirt gets kicked up during every recess. It’s not a perfect setup, and we are always looking for a bit of extra paint or a few more chairs, but it works for us and the families here. We are just a local school doing the work that needs to be done.
