Ritu Colour Chem Pvt. Ltd.

Our place is at F-130 on Mandia Road. It’s a pretty standard industrial spot, really. There’s always dust in the air and the sound of trucks shifting gears outside. We’ve been running Ritu Colour Chem Pvt. Ltd. from this building for several years. It’s an old structure, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays dry and holds our stock just fine. We mostly deal with colors and chemicals used by the textile shops nearby. I usually get in around eight in the morning to open the heavy metal shutters. The air is a bit cooler then. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us since the beginning. We don’t really have formal meetings or anything like that. We just talk over tea about what needs to be mixed or packed for the day. Sometimes the power cuts out, which is common on Mandia Road, so we just sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we don’t like to rush things and make mistakes. Most of our clients are folks we’ve known for a decade. They know we aren’t a big corporate giant. We’re just a local business trying to do honest work. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly, though we have a computer for the official stuff. It’s a quiet life here amidst the noise of the factories.
