Our shop is located in the Housing Board area of Subhash Nagar, right at B 273. It is a fairly quiet neighborhood most of the time which is nice for us. We have been here for a while and have gotten to know the people who live nearby pretty well. The shop itself is not very large so we have to be careful about how we stack things on the shelves. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a few people come in at once but we manage to make it work. Every morning starts with opening up the shutters and sweeping the front step because the dust always finds its way in. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stock and talking to anyone who stops by for a chat. It is the kind of place where things move a bit slower than they do in the city center. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to get attention. Most people just find us because they live around the corner or someone told them where we were. We try to keep the place tidy but there is usually a stack of newspapers or some tea cups sitting around somewhere. It is just a normal local business doing what we do every day. Nothing fancy happens here but we like the routine of it all and being part of the community in Subhash Nagar. We stay open late most nights just in case.
