Dhakad Hotel

Dhakad Hotel is right there at Surajpole, and if you know that area, you know how crowded it gets. There is always someone yelling or a horn honking right outside the door. We have been here for a while and the building shows it a little bit. The walls are not as white as they used to be and the floor has some cracks, but it works for what we need. We get a lot of people who are just passing through the city and need a place that isn't too complicated. The rooms are basic and we don't have all those fancy things like the big hotels near the airport. We just provide a place to stay and maybe some tea in the morning. The tea stall right outside makes a lot of noise early on. We spend our time checking people in and out and making sure the linens are washed. It is a lot of work for a small crew. Surajpole is a busy market area so there is always something happening right on our doorstep. We don't really have a lobby to speak of, just a small desk and a bench. Some nights it stays loud until very late, but that is just life in this part of town. We just keep the keys ready and the rooms tidy as best as we can manage with the time we have. It is just a place to sleep.
