Hotel Krishna Palace

Being right by the New Bus Stand in Sumerpur means we see a lot of tired travelers. Hotel Krishna Palace is sitting right there on the Main Road, so you can't really miss it if you’re coming into town. I started this place because it’s a natural spot for people to stop. The 306401 area is a hub for the local buses, so there’s always a crowd. It’s a simple building. We didn't hire an architect to make it look like a palace, despite the name. It’s just a name we liked. Inside, it’s just regular rooms. I spend my time making sure the fans work and the floors are mopped. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. I don't have a computer system to manage everything, I mostly just use a big ledger book to write names down. The dust from the Main Road is a bit of a problem, so we’re always cleaning the windows and the furniture. We don't offer much else besides a room and a place to rest. People usually stay one night and then catch their next bus in the morning. I like hearing the stories of where everyone is heading. It’s a small operation with just me and my nephew helping out. We keep it simple and don't try to overcomplicate things. It’s just a local hotel for folks on the move. We’ve been at this address for years and know everyone on the street.
