Pali Cotton Mill is situated over at number 51 in the Ashapurna Township area, right off Jodhpur Road. It’s a bit of a different vibe being in a township compared to the main city center. Things feel a little more spread out, though the noise from the machinery still carries across the yard. We’ve got the mill set up to handle the cotton, and it’s a constant cycle of cleaning and moving stuff around. The Jodhpur Road can get quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the dry season. We spend a good chunk of the day just making sure everything is running like it should. It’s not a glamorous job. You end up with cotton bits on your clothes and in your hair by the time you go home at night. We usually start the shifts early to beat the worst of the heat. There’s a small tea stall nearby where everyone goes during the break for a quick snack. We don't really have a big sign or anything fancy, just the address on the gate. It’s just a place where we work with what we have. People around the township know us, and we mostly just stick to our own business. The machines are old but they still do the job okay. It’s a quiet life in some ways, even with all the clatter inside the mill. The floor is always covered in lint.
