Our office is tucked away in Mira Road East, specifically in the Cosmos Apartments at Salasar Gardens. It’s unit 503. Being near the GCC Club is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Winmark Enterprises (P) Ltd. has been operating from this flat for a good bit now. It feels more like a home than a stiff office, which is how we like it. The view of Thane is alright from up here. We spend our days mostly on the computers or talking to people about the business. It’s a private limited company, but since we are a small team, we handle everything ourselves. There is no big HR department or fancy receptionist. We just answer the door ourselves when someone rings. The elevators in the building can be slow during the morning rush, so we usually get in a bit later to avoid the crowd. We have some files stacked up and a printer that occasionally acts up. Dealing with the local authorities and keeping the books clean takes up a lot of our time. Mira Road is a busy area, always growing, and we’ve seen it change a lot from our window. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about local news. It’s a quiet, steady kind of work life. We just keep moving forward one day at a time. The monsoon rain hits the windows hard, but we stay dry inside and keep typing.
