Vasant Rice Mill

Vasant Rice Mill is found near the post office on Dhanu Road. We are right on Bazaar Street in Talasari East, which is quite close to N.H.-8 in the Dhundalwadi area. It’s a very busy location because of the highway and the local market. There is always a lot of noise from the trucks passing by and the people in the bazaar. Our mill is a busy place where we spend most of our time among the rice sacks. It’s not a fancy setup at all. The walls are stained and the floor is always covered in a bit of grain. We don’t have a professional office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of our business is done standing up or leaning against a stack of bags. We’ve been running this mill for a long time and we’ve seen the area grow quite a bit. The machinery we use is old but we know how to fix it ourselves when things go wrong. We don’t have a big mission or any corporate goals. We just want to get the rice processed and ready for the market. It’s a lot of physical labor and the hours can be very long during the peak season. We don't spend any time on the internet or trying to find new ways to sell. We just stick to what we know and work with the people who come to our door. It’s a local business through and through.
