Sudesh Forging Works

We are located in the Haji Mohammad Ayub Khan Compound, which is out by Vasai Phata. Sudesh Forging Works is one of those places where you can hear us before you see us. The sound of the forging work carries across the compound. It is a hot environment, especially in the summer months when the sun beats down on the roof. We have been in this spot for years. The floor is concrete and usually covered in bits of metal and dust. We don't have air conditioning, just some big industrial fans that move the hot air around. People coming to Vasai Phata usually know the compound because it’s a hub for this kind of work. We usually have a lot of trucks coming in and out, which makes the yard pretty crowded. Our office is just a small partitioned area in the corner with a desk and some old chairs. We do most of our talking out on the floor where the action is. It’s hard work and it makes your back ache by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just take the raw materials and do what needs to be done with them. When the whistle blows at the end of the day, we’re all pretty ready to head home and get the soot off our faces.
