You can find us at Shakti Industries Estate, which is part of the Golani Complex in Waliv. Steam-O-Tech Engineers (I) Pvt. Ltd. has been here at unit number 2 for quite some time now. It’s an industrial area, so it’s usually quite noisy with trucks coming in and out and the sound of metal hitting metal. We deal with steam systems and engineering parts, which is heavy work. The walls in the workshop are a bit scuffed and there is usually a bit of oil or grease somewhere on the floor, no matter how much we try to keep it clean. It’s just the nature of what we do. We aren’t sitting in a climate-controlled office with fancy chairs; we’re out here in the heat of the estate. The morning starts early here because you have to beat the traffic in Waliv. If you’re late, you’re stuck behind a dozen lorries. Our team is small, mostly guys who have been doing this for years and don’t need to be told what to do twice. We have our tools, our benches, and the blueprints we follow. It’s practical, honest labor. We don’t have a marketing department writing fancy stories about us. We just make sure the engineering is solid and that the machines we work on don’t fail. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know, and the estate is a good place to be.
